We recently held an engaging workshop in Ghent, organized by Halewynstichting as part of our Music 4 Inclusion Erasmus+ Project. 🌟
On behalf of our host Halewynstichting, Maarten Weyler kicked off the event with an introductory speech, welcoming everyone and introducing the project partners. This was followed by Ebru Karataş Acer, who provided an in-depth explanation of the Erasmus+ program of the European Commission. Aygül Günaltay Weyler then detailed the specifics of our project, setting the stage for a comprehensive understanding.
Feyza Altınkamış led a thought-provoking session on the relation between language and social inclusion, highlighting the importance of communication in fostering unity. Following this, Sinan Canan delivered an enlightening talk on neuroscience, exploring the therapeutic power of music and its profound impact on the brain. Filip Verneert and Shalan Alhamwy shared their unique perspectives on the workshop’s discussion topics, enriching the conversation with their expertise.
In the final session, participants engaged in reflections and evaluation and shared their insights and feedback on the day’s activities. This exchange of ideas provided valuable takeaways for future initiatives.
We are grateful for the contributions and enthusiasm of all involved. 🌍🎶
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our journey towards fostering unity through the universal language of music!
